Chat With me Thursday (10): Blogger Interview with Krystianna

For the 12th Chat With me Thursday, I have Krystianna, blogger over at Downright Dystopian

1. How long have you been blogging?

I've been blogging since July 2012, so it's been a solid 3 years! The time has definitely flown by though. It seems like just yesterday was my first day in the wonderful world of blogging!

2. What is your current favourite book?

Armada by Ernest Cline. It was just so geeky and involved outer space so it was perfect for me. It also included tons of nerdy references and video games.

3. What is your most viewed post? Are you surprised that this particular post is your most viewed?

My most viewed post is actually an interview with Dianne of Oops! I Read It Again. It's so odd because it has about 4000 views and doesn't even compare to the second most viewed post because of that.

4. What's your favourite kind of post to write?

I honestly love writing reviews! I love it more if it's a book I actually enjoyed.

5. If you could trade places with a protagonist of any book, which protagonist would you choose?

I'd have to say Anna from Anna and the French Kiss. Etienne was just the best, so I don't see who wouldn't want to switch places with her.

6. Is there any couple in any book that you hate, but everybody else seems to love?

Yes! The girl that Thomas ends up with at the end of The Death Cure by James Dashner. I'd say who it is but I don't want to spoil. JUST KNOW THAT I DON'T SUPPORT IT.

7. Do you re-read books? If so, which book have you re-read the most?

I do! My most re-read book would have to be either The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling.

8. Do you ever plan on stopping your book blog?

I don't so I hope that never happens! I love blogging about books so much. If anything, I'd switch to making booktube videos if I ever got the confidence, but I'm always going to do my best to keep up my blog!

9. Who is your favourite author?

My favorite author is Ernest Cline, just because I literally feel like the books he writes are just for me. They're perfect for me in every way.

10. Do you have any ship that never sailed, but you desperately wish it did?

Harry Potter and Hermione! I feel like they'd have been perfect for each other. Oh, well. :/

Chat With Me Thursday (3): Blogger Interview with Brianna C

Chat With Me Thursday is a weekly feature hosted by me over here at YA Book Reviews. On Thursday, I will interview one author or blogger and post it here. If you would like be interviewed, please visit my Chat With Me Thursday page. If you would like to hold Chat With Me Thursday on your blog, all I ask is that you link back to my blog.

Today I bring you Brianna C from listfulbooking!

#1. When and why did you start blogging?

I started blogging almost 2 months ago now (I think lol) simply to share my love of books with like-minded people. Where I'm from there aren't really any book clubs or kids my age who read.

#2. What is your favorite book?

My favorite book (currently-it changes pretty often lol) is Brave Story by Miyuki Miyabe. Even though I'm not a fan of fantasy, this is the best book ever. It has something for everyone-adventure, romance, coming of age, suspense, etc. That and the cover is absolutely gorgeous!

#3. Do you have any book that you regret reading?

There is only ONE book I regret reading: A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. So many people rave about this Pulitzer Prize winner, but unless you have the right kind of humor it's just dumb and such a waste of time. A lot of people do like it, so I would say it is still worth a shot.

#4. If you could live in any book world what world would it be?

This is always such a hard question to answer! I would have to say the world of Harry Potter. Yes there is a lot of chaos, but there's also magic and dragons and just cool stuff! Who WOULDN'T want to be a part of this world?

#5. Who is your favorite author?

My favorite author depends on what I'm in the mood to read. Ken Follett is my favorite historical author and Sarah Dessen is my favorite contemporary author. Anything other than those two genres-I have author I like to read, but couldn't pick just one.

#6. Favorite classic book?

My favorite classic book would have to be The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinback. I had to read it in high school and I loved it. I know many people think it's long and somewhat boring, but it was definitely a book I was able to click with. A close second would be Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

Thanks for participating in Chat With Me Thursday!

Chat With Me Thursday #2: Blogger Interview with Jazmen

For the second Chat With Me Thursday ever, I am going to be interviewing Jazmen from ThisGirlReadsAlot.

1. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging first and foremost because I love books. I've loved them since I have been able to read. I was never the kid who got toys, I always got books so I guess in some ways I have had no choice but to become a bookworm. Blogging allows me to both read and write and they are both my biggest passions.

2. What is the first book you remember reading

One of the first books I remember reading was Little Monsters by Mercer Meyer. I loved those books when I was younger. I was always begging my mom to buy me another. My appetite for those books was insatiable.

3. What was the last book you read

The last book I read was Almost by Anne Eliot. I absolutely loved it, and highly recommend it.

4. What is your favorite book genre?

Favorite book genre? definitely Dystopia. I can't really put into words why but with books like the Hunger Games and Divergent, I think that is explanation enough.

5. If you could jump into one book what would it be

If I could jump into any book, I would have to pick any of the Archers of Avalon series books. Why? because I would make out with Tristan

Thanks for the interview Jazmen!
