Top Ten Tuesday (12): Secondary Characters That Deserve More Love

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week's topic is secondary characters that deserve more love. This is my second post today, and I will admit that I wasn't planning on posting a top ten tuesday today, but I have been having a bit of a busy and anxious week and writing posts helps me focus on things that aren't making me anxious. Because this post wasn't one that I planned on doing, I could only come up with five characters that I think deserve more love, but I think a half finished list is still a good effort and I wanted to share my thoughts with all of you anyway.

1. Kenji - Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi 

2. Newt - The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I'm not sure if this one counts because Newt does get a lot of love from The Maze Runner fans but I think there's always room for more.

3.  Issie - Need by Carrie Jones

Issie is  the perfect example of an upbeat quirky character done right, as in, in a way that doesn't annoy the hell out of me, and I will protect her forever.

4. Jag - Bleed More, Bodymore by Ian Kirkpatrick

I'm not sure if is a fair one to use because it's not published yet, so maybe everybody will think he deserves more love, but I'm including it anyway because I think I liked Jag more than I liked the protagonist so I don't think it's fair to leave out.

5. Marlene - Divergent by Veronica Roth

Look What Book I Bought!

       HEY EVERYBODY. *Points at you*  Do you want to see what book I bought today? No? Well I am going to show it to you anyway, because I for one, am super excited. Ready for this? *Drum roll*

       Oh. My. God. It's beautiful. Look at that eye. Staring at you all beautiful and such. I am so happy that I bought this book. I now own the entire Shatter Me series. Man, am I ever proud. I am also sad, in a way. I know that once I finish this book, It's done. It's over. No more Juliette, Adam, Warner, Kenji, no more Restablishment. Oh, the sadness that will without a doubt come with finishing the trilogy.

       Have you guys notice that a lot of great trilogies are coming to an end, either soon, or recently? I mean, the Shatter Me Trilogy is done, The Divergent Trilogy is done, The Mara Dyer Trilogy is ending soon. Truthfully, I really do hope I get into another trilogy soon. I'm losing so many :( 

Top 10 Tuesday: Top 10 Books That Will Make You Cry

       I have never cried at a book, but these ones had me pretty close.

#1. Revived by Cat Patrick

       This book, like many others, isn't an overall sad book. It does however have some sad moments

#2. Allegiant by Veronica Roth

       As I mentioned in my earlier post about this book. This has book has put a void in my soul that will never be filled with any kind of happy moment.

#3. Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi

       I don't think anybody actually cried, but what happens between Adam and Juliette broke my fragile little heart.







AND...that's it guys, sorry, I'm really bad at posting these. I don't think I have ever actually completed a list.

Cover+Title Reveal of Shatter Me #3

       Okay guys, I know I already posted a review of Fever by Lauren DeStafeno today, and I normally don't do two posts in one day, but I couldn't resist! I mean COME ON THIS IS IMPORTANT STUFF! Alright anyway, moving on, moving on!

       Earlier today, the cover and title of Shatter Me #3 was released. If you have read my reviews for the Shatter Me books, you would know I can't get enough of them and that, I, Sibella Asher, am an extremely proud owner of both of them. And so, the title of Shatter Me #3 is... *DRUM ROLL*

Ignite Me

       Apparently, this title had been suggested several times because Warner showed Juliette his 'ignite' tattoo. I personally love he title. I'm glad that they stuck with all the titles ending in 'me.' Although, I am probably the only one that cares...

       I love all of the covers in this trilogy. I liked how they took the 'eye on the cover' trend to a different level and made them look unique. I know you are dying to see a picture of it, so here it is!

  

       I love the flowers on this cover. Makes me think of butterflies and happiness. *Sigh* And those colors! WOW!

Introduction
       
       Juliette finally feels somewhat safe at Omega Point. She is no longer seen as a weapon, no longer being forced to kill.        Yet another eye on a cover. Like Shatter me, this one is unique, with the snow covered tree branches as eyelashes. I think it is very beautiful.

Characters/Relationships
     
       Juliette is once again a stunning protagonist. I can will never be able to get enough of what goes on in her mind.
       In the Shatter Me I didn't really have an opinion of Kenji, since he came in near the end. But he is in Unravel me much more than the first book. He adds such great humor to the story and is always ready to lighten up an intense situation.
       Juliette and Adam, the relationship that they have now almost brought a tear to my eye...it was so full of emotion.

Team Warner or Adam
        
       It has come to my attention that Team Adam/Team Warner is a thing. I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, who to choose. I guess that I like Adam a little more. When Juliette and Adam are together, it's so sweet. Adam loves Juliette so much and is willing to do anything for her. On the other hand, Warner is becoming pretty interesting too. Behind the mean and terrible side of Warner, he loves Juliette too. Although, I think I will always want Adam and Juliette to be together a little more.

Conclusion
       
       While I was reading this book, I swear I forgot how to breathe. Then, when I remembered, it got caught in my throat and only managed to come out a sharp gasp. I promise you, this book will have you sqeeing from happiness. It will shatter your heart all over the floor and then slowly mend it back together, and I just could never get enough. I am so excited for the third and final installment. Even though I am fairly certain that this book doesn't even have a title yet. I really wish I could read Destroy Me, a book that is in Warner's POV but I can't because it is only available in e-book format. That, just so you know, is totally and completely destroying me.
