Introduction
       Alice's life is going as good as it could ever be, she has a beautiful new temporary home, her friends are as safe as she can hope for, and she has Cole. Really has him. Then, every wall of her life caves in. When she fights a new wave of zombies, she gets bitten and everything spirals even more out of control. When she looks into a mirror, she sees her. As a zombie. She now suffers from terrible urges to hurt, bite, infect, and kill her friends. She need support, she needs help, she needs to calm the urges in her mind.Only thing is, now nobody is willing to help her. Nobody else can see her zombie refection, nobody can hear the voice inside her mind. So what can she say to convince everybody that she will be okay, if only she had some help.If only she could figure out why this was happening to her.
       To make matters worse, two new slayers have come to town and joined the team. Gavin and Veronica. Cole is convinced that Alice is falling for Gavin, and that they are going to do some fooling around. While Alice knows that her heart belongs to Cole, Cole is having doubts. Leaving Alice almost completely alone.

Cover
       I like how the cover is doing a little play on the original Alice in Wonderland with the top hat and the bunny. I'm not to fond of the way the Alice's face looks on this. So fake. So plastic. I do however love the shattered mirror background, with all the other reflection.
       One more thing that I would like to mention is that when you open the book, you see the eye-catching black and yellow (Ha. Ha.) checkered pattern. I love it. You don't often see something that colorful outside of the cover and I love it.

Characters/Relationships
       I don't want to say much about the characters and the relationships in this book, because it would ruin all the twists and turns, so if you really want to know what happens, your going to have to read it yourself. *Wink.* *Wink.*

Gavin
        Fine. I'll say something about Gavin. He's a player. A cocky, cocky player. He does come on to Alice, but Alice won't have it. She doesn't want anybody but Cole, but still Gavin tries. He does it in his jokes and his smug remarks, but he can still be serious when he needs to be. I mean, really needs to be.

Veronica
       I want to throw up all over this girls existence, but I guess then, I would have to throw up all over Gavin's existence too, but I don't really want to do that. At least Gavin can mange to be civil and nice.

Dislikes
       The only thing that I didn't like about this book is the fact that it can be a little repetitive. Mostly with Zombie Alice (Z.A) but sometimes she managed to spice it up a little.

Just Warning You
       This book has several references to having sex, how Alice is ready for Cole, and other things like that. But I assure you that nothing too serious happens.

Conclusion
       All in all, I really like this book. It's probably tied with the first one in this series. I am most defiantly going to continue with the series, as soon as the 3rd book comes out.

Introduction
       After Katie's mom passes away, Katie is forced to move to Japan. As if losing her mom isn't enough, Katie speaks little Japanese, and is struggling to get a hang of the customs. Then weird things start happening to her whenever she is with Yuu Tomohiro. A gorgeous boy, with a tough jerk-face facade. Whenever they are together, ink appears, and pens explode. When Tomo draws, his drawings float off the page and come to life. Tomo warns her to stay away.  He is always trying to keep her at a distance, but as Katie gets to know the real Tomo, the one hiding behind tough words and mean faces, his secrets unfold before her eyes. It so happens that Tomo and Katie both have something to do with the ink.

Cover
       Are you looking at this cover? Congratulations, you have just laid eyes on the most beautiful cover that has ever existed. I love it. Everything about this cover is beautiful.

Tomohiro
       I can't even explain my love for Tomo. At the beginning he seems like a dirt-bag. But as you get to know him, he's amazing. Though it might not seem like it, everything he is doing is to protect somebody else. Everybody else must be safe before he even thinks of himself.

Jun
       Jun a boy that Katie meets early on in the book. He's pretty cool, pretty nice, (for the most part) and also puts effort into being Katie's friend. Right at the beginning, right until the end.

Ishikawa
       Despite everything that Ishikawa has gotten himself mixed into, I liked him from the very start, Even though he wasn't very nice to Katie, I still think that he is a very interesting character.

Setting
       I haven't read many books set in Japan--Okay, I haven't read any.--But I really like how the author made everything sound so real, I could picture the small places they were in so very easily. Everything about the setting was beautiful.

Kami
       I already knew a little about the Kami from playing the video game Okami and because of playing that I already knew a little bit about Amaterasu, but even if you don't know anything about the Kami or Amaterasu don't be overwhelmed. The author makes it really easy to understand.

Illustrations
       Every time that Tomo draws something of significance, on the next page you will find an illustration of what that drawing looks like. They are all beautiful. Every. Single. One. I love the fact that the illustrations are included, because now instead of just trying to imagine what the drawing is supposed to look like, you can see it. You know exactly what the author wants you to visualize.

Conclusion
       This book is so amazingly beautiful in every way possible. The characters are amazing, the setting is beautiful, and I am absolutely sure of myself when I say that this is one of my favorite books.

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter

Introduction
       Alice 'Ali' Bell thinks her father is crazy for saying that he can see monsters. She would give anything to have normal life with her sister, her mother, and a totally normal father. That terrible day when Ali lost her family, also marks the first day that Ali ever saw the monsters that her father spent his whole life warning her about. But now Ali is left alone to deal with the monsters. Until she is forced to move in with her Nana and Pops. When she is forced to attend a new school, she meets Cole Holland. A rebellious boy with a lot of rebellious friends, always covered in bruises, missing weeks of school at a time. She also seems to have a strange connection with Cole, sharing visions with him every time they meet each other's eyes. As she gets to know Cole, she finds that he has a lot of dark secrets of his own, and she is determined to find out what they are, even if they cause her life to spiral out of control yet again.

Cover
       I love this cover, despite the look on Alice's face. I also love the reference to the original Alice in Wonderland at the bottom where it says 'off with their heads'.

Zombies
        This book puts a little twist on the original decaying type zombie. Instead, the zombies are infected spirits that have risen from human bodies. Also, not everybody can fight them, if you can see them, to fight them you have to be in spirit form.

Cole
       I loved Cole, unfortunately, I can't talk about him too much without revealing everything about him. But I absolutely loved his personality. I loved how much he really did like Alice, and how he helped her as much as he could without overprotective, and also didn't spill spill sugar all over every word that he said to her. I love how he has violet eyes, and not because he is special or something, he has violet eyes just because he was born with them.

Alice in Wonderland References
       This book isn't dripping full of Alice in Wonderland references. The only ones that I could think of was the rabbit, and, well of course the main characters name is Alice.

Conclusion
       I absolutely loved everything about this book, the characters, the story. Everything. Just be warned, this book does mention a few things about sex. Nothing happens, but it is mentioned.
